CLOSED to Civil aircraft 0500–1700Z April 1–September 30 and 0400–1600Z October 1–March 31. Open to civil use through agreement between the US Army and the State of Hawaii, check NOTAM´s prior to use, no Air traffic control tower in operation. Parachute Jumping. Skydiving activity on and in vicinity of airport. Ultralights on and in the vicinity of airport. Simultaneous glider/powered aircraft operations. Tree line with 90´ trees N and South of runway approximately 425´ from centerline. A 5000´ x 75´ runway for light powered aircraft has been painted in the center of the existing 9007´ x 75´ paved area for civil use starting approximately 2000´ from each runway end. Large sea birds on and in the vicinity of airport November through April. Marked depression in vicinity of automated fuel pump southwestern apron. Parachuting Activities activity 3 NM northwest. TRAFFIC PATTERN Engine power aircraft should keep base leg in close and cross airport boundary fences at or above 600´ to assure safe separation from sailplanes/towplanes using the first 2000´ (short of the displaced threshold).
