AIRPORT REMARKS: Attended continuously. Intermittent presence of birds on and in the vicinity of airport. Pilots are required to contact ground controller prior to pushback, tow out and taxi for traffic advisories. Ultralight aircraft prohibited on airport. Practice approaches and touch and go landings prohibited. ASDE–X in use. Operate transponders with altitude reporting mode and ADS–B (if equipped) enabled on all airport surfaces. Taxiing aircraft are prohibited from passing to the south of aircraft located on Taxiway B into alley located between Gates 7 and 14. Taxiing aircraft shall follow lead–in lines until the nose wheel of the aircraft has entered the non–movement area of the alley. Runway 09–27 FAA gross weight strength DC10–10 410; DC10–30 530; L–1011 430; B747 720. 747 and larger aircraft are prohibited from making intersection takeoffs. To reduce jet blast impact at north end of Taxiway F aircraft will not start engine until 800´ from north end of Taxiway F, abeam the second parking pad. Aircraft crossing Runway 09–27 on Taxiway C6, hold short of Taxiway C6 facing west on Taxiway C, parallel to runway. In the event of a diversion or irregular operating events, aircraft operating contact the airport duty manager 619–400–2710 for Prior Permission Required due to limitations associated with handling diverted flights. Limitations include restricted gate space, customs services as well as aircraft servicing and parking. For access to/from Terminal 2 : Gates 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33–51 and the island and west Remain Overnight parking ramps, contact ramp control on 129.775 secondary 131.975 from 1400–0800Z‡, from 0800–1400Z‡ contact ground control on 123.9. Runway status lights in operation. Taxilane A restricted to aircraft with wingspans of 135´ or less. Aircraft exiting Runway 09 at Taxiway D and turning right onto Taxiway B are limited to a max wingspan of 136 foot (B757–300W equivalent). Outboard engines of four–engine aircraft are to be kept at idle power for all ground maneuvering. Cross–bleed engine starts permitted only on parallel taxiway with aircraft aligned on taxiway centerline. Due to Personnel and equipment working on Runway 09–27, 30 minute Prior Permission Required 0830–1230Z‡ for all landings and departures call 619–400–2710. Airport closed to unscheduled transient GA aircraft except Prior Permission Required 619–298–7704. Prior Permission Required for transient GA aircraft. 30 minute Prior Permission Required 619–400–2710 for aircraft with over 171´ wingspan.
